Joanne Murphy has delivered Paediatric First Aid Training to foster carers in the Western Trust area for five years and continues to do so. She has trained 40+ foster carers. Comments on evaluation forms had recorded:

Joanne's training is an asset to any programme of training.I am the Training Coordinator for Coleraine Sure Start and as such have responsibility for organising the annual training programme. We avail of the Northern Childcare Partnership programme but provide a larger number of Early Years workers in Sure Start areas with courses in 1st Aid and Manual Handling. JCM Training has provided courses to Coleraine SureStart on a regular basis. At least 2 classes of 12 undertake a 12-hour Emergency Aid & Lifesaving Skills for Babies and Children (certificate valid for 3 years) and 2 classes of approximately 16 complete a 3-hour course in Manual Handling (certificate valid for 1 year) I have known Joanne Murphy in a professional capacity for over four years and find her skilled and proficient in her organisation and delivery of the above training. Feedback through evaluation at the end of the course has over this period proved very positive. Joanne has been systematic in covering all the material required to pass the exam and in keeping the course updated with current legislation. She has at the same time provided a comfortable and supportive training environment adapting to the support needs of the group.

We, at The Jungle NI, had the pleasure of receiving First Aid Training from Joanne in July. We found the course to be well paced, useful and most informative. There was a good mix of theory and practical training all of which was delivered in a professional and approachable manner. Joanne's subject knowledge and passion for this course is commendable, she answered any questions thoroughly and spent time to ensure that each participant fully understood each section of the course. It is definitely a course we would recommend and we intend to ensure all staff have the chance to participate in it.

Joanne first delivered First Aid at Work training, for Seagate Limavady, 2/3 years ago. Based on the students’ feedback, she was the only real choice when it came to arranging the FAW courses this year. Again, the mix of theory and practical training using up to date equipment, procedures and protocols together with Joanne’s professional approach and informative delivery style, made for enjoyable and very importantly, successful courses.
